Last Thursday our partner Plasus celebrated its 25th anniversary.
In addition to a large number of guests on site, over 70 guests also took part in the online presentations. After the official part, a typical Bavarian beer barrel tapping could not be missed and rounded off the official program.

On 09.09.2021 the whole House of Plasma team together with PLASUS performed test measurements in real industrial environment at robeko GmbH & Co. KG. According to House of Plasma, the results of the test measurements will be presented at V2021 from October 12 to 14!

V2021 is a traditional event on the subject of plasma and vacuum technology for surface finishing.
Since 2007, the V Conference with accompanying industrial exhibition offers informative contributions from current research as well as reports from practice. PLASUS celebrates its 25th anniversary
Since 1996 PLASUS is developing, manufacturing and marketing innovative and application-oriented plasma monitor and process control systems. Applications range from quality control of PECVD plasmas over active process control in reactive sputter processes and endpoint detection in etching applications to process control of atmospheric plasmas.
PLASUS invites you to celebrate this anniversary on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Depending on the Corona situation, they are planning an on-site event at their own company premises in Mering or an online or hybrid event.

Our partner SCI has its 20th anniversary
Our partner SCI pulled as part of their 20th anniversary celebration, the first Sputtering Components prototype end block out of storage and asked founder Dan Crowley (left) to reminisce about how he developed it back in 2001.
What motivated you to design your own end block?
“Working as the lead cathode maintenance technician at a glass manufacturer, I saw the potential of rotary cathodes and wanted to take the existing technology further. I had seen other companies’ attempts at making rotary cathodes work, trying to address the issues they had, and I thought I had better ideas and wanted to prove them out. So, with Barry Nudelman’s financial support and his contact network for selling sputtering targets for his company, Process Materials, I set out on my own”.
